Description of Service

CentSense is a web-based expense tracking application with AI-powered receipt scanning. Users can upload receipt images, which are automatically processed to extract expense details, and manage their expenses through a dashboard.

Account Registration

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

Subscription & Billing

• CentSense offers three plan tiers: Free, Solo, and Team.
• The Free tier includes up to 10 AI receipt scans per month. Solo and Team tiers offer unlimited scans and additional features.
• Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe on a monthly or yearly basis and auto-renew unless cancelled.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
• Abuse, overload, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure.
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service.
• Upload content that is malicious, fraudulent, or violates the rights of others.

Intellectual Property

CentSense and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by CentSense and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain full ownership of the data you submit to the Service, including expense records and receipt images.

User Content

By uploading receipts and expense data, you grant CentSense a limited license to process, store, and display that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We do not sell your data to third parties. Receipt images are sent to our AI provider for extraction purposes only.

Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers including Supabase, Cloudinary, OpenAI, Stripe, and Upstash. Your use of the Service is also subject to the terms and policies of these providers. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that AI-extracted receipt data will be completely accurate.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CentSense shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from your use of the Service.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for conduct that violates these Terms. You may also delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
